What is the right memory and hard drive size for me?
I am Absolutely clueless and try as I might am going nowhere fast. I do play alot of games but nothing I think that would require anything special. I.E. Farm frenzy, bejeweled, things like that. I go online often but usually just to check email, pay bills. Again nothing fancy. I do however download alot (IMO) of music and often have lots of pictures on my computer. Would a 3 GB memory and 250 GB HD be enough? To much?

i don’t know much about the laptops except that the Sony Vaio that i just got back in October sucks, it’s the white one from Best Buy if you happen to see it, it was 800 bucks and a waste of time. it’s 4gb i think and 500 gb harddrive, i should’ve gotten a MAC for 200 more bucks, at least it wouldn’t break on me, mine’s already crashed and it was only 4 months?
ok, my point is… get an external harddrive, they’re cheap, i have just gotten a Seagate 1.5 TB from best buy a couple of days ago, it’s only 139 bucks if you can spare that, the lower gigabytes are cheaper but not that much cheaper, that i’ve noticed, and always look for sales (this is if you decide to buy one)
i’m only saying this because if and once you’re computer fails, that’s it, you lose everything, i’ve had it done to me before many times, so i have an external hard drive to back up my music, photos, anything from microsoft word. also, if you have your hard drive filled up on your laptop or desktop, i’ve noticed with mine that my computer runs slower. the external is easy, just hook it up to the lap top or desk top and it’ll show up in your start button on the bottom and just hit computer, it’ll show you the drives and which drive it’s in.
music and videos takes up the most that i know of, i’m not sure about games or anything cause i don’t have any games saved but you can put a whole lot of pictures and documents
i don’t know if i’ve helped you or not but it was try. but all i can say is that if you want to get something decent or good, you also have to put out for that, too, like the size and hard drive that you’ll need for all your stuff, plus i’m sure you’ll plan on putting more stuff on it in the future, too
